California
The state of California as a general rule, does not allow vent free fireplaces. Our direct vent models are all approved for California.

If you are requesting an ICBO or RR#, please use TL-130 for any
Spark Modern Fires products.

Spark Modern Fires uses Omni-Test Laboratories, LLC, which specializes in the testifying and certifying of hearth products. OMNI is accredited by the American National Standards Institute, ANSI. For specific ANSI test standards and report numbers for spark Modern Fires, go to: Omni-test

New York City
NYC does not allow any vent free fireplaces. Please consider our vented Fire Ribbon fireplace for use in NYC. MEA Certificates for vented products:

MEA for models 87N, 88N
MEA for models 91N, 92N, 18N

Colorado
Vent free products can not be used above 4500 ft.
