This cedar-clad residence is located in a desirable neighborhood close to downtown Ottawa. It rests on a forty foot fully treed natural escarpment boasting an amazing panorama of the city. From the outset of the project the client expressed a firm vision to develop a house that would suit their young family, create a social interactive kitchen area and provide interconnected open areas. The overall look of the home was created by playing with simple and clean geometric forms and the end result compliments the clients’ characters and personalities. We used the SPARK Tri-Vu in the entry vestibule / Living room space. We wanted to create a warm, pure and inviting fireplace that could be viewed from the outside as you approach the main entry, would act as a greeting element and present itself when you first enter the home, be a focal point in the main living space and could also be viewed from the Dining room and Kitchen area.
